Aurora Light Arts is a heartfelt, family-run creative venture devoted to making art accessible, joyful, and inspiring for all.

Owner and instructor Dawn Meyer & her daughter Grace, along with instructor Christina Martinez and our creative team, bring over 40 years of combined experience sharing the magic of art, crafts, and creative expression with both children and adults. As artists and dedicated career art educators they’ve taught in a wide variety of settings and love creating meaningful, engaging experiences for every artist who walks through the door.

Art Studio Classes for Kids, Teens & Adults

Our classes are designed to build confidence, spark imagination, and strengthen each artist’s foundation in essential art skills. Through guided, open‑ended projects, students explore the world around them and make creative choices that lead to meaningful, personal artwork they’re proud to bring home.

Fall 2026 Weekly Schedule

New Weekly Courses (Ages 12–Adult)

Art Skills Studio — Teen/Adult- with Dawn Wednesday • 6:00–7:15- A creative, exploratory studio class for teens and adults. Designed to encourage confidence in artists through a deep dive into the elements of art, principles of design, and essential art‑making techniques. Each two‑week block focuses on a new medium — from drawing and pastels to ink, printmaking, collage, 3D construction, and painting. Students build technique, confidence, and personal style in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Watercolor with Katya Wallace Tuesdays • 5:45–7:00 PM - Learn foundational and advanced watercolor techniques from a local children’s book illustrator and watercolor artist.
Acrylics with Jan Dale Thursdays • 6:00-7:30 - Journey “from shore to canvas” with coastal Navarre acrylic artist Jan Dale. Explore expressive techniques and create beautiful coastal‑inspired acrylic paintings.
